Potomac Yard comprises 295 acres of mixed-use commercial and residential development and is home to the Potomac Yard Retail Center. The plan is broken into two areas, North and South Potomac Yard, and features office (4 million square feet), residential (3,000 units), and hotel and retail uses (1 million square feet). The land use strategy capitalizes on a future Metrorail station that is being studied and additional investment in a dedicated bus rapid transit (BRT) corridor, local bus, and shuttle service.
